Theme song: Kundalini Express
I'm waiting at a boutique SNCF in Paris. Very loosely, this means: French Train Society Travel Agency.
It's hot and heavy outside and it took a lot to pry myself away from my work and out of my apartment. I didn't even think to bring extra stuff to do, so I people watch. My favorite sport.
I'm basically grateful for this break, if a little nervous about all the money I am about to spend on train tickets.
Yes, I am grateful to sit among hot and placid Parisians waiting to buy train tickets.
We've all taken our numbers and are waiting for them to come up.
Personally, I'm trying to learn to live before I die. That, in fact, is one of the chief reasons I am here in France (or anywhere, for that matter).
Probably most of us in this boutique are simply trying to get somewhere -- anywhere -- before we die.
Well. Those who know me know I don't really believe in death.
There will be no learning to live before I die as if that were a final destination.
There is no final destination.
Life is a series of adjustments, large and small, coupled with choices.
That's it.
If you want to know how to live, learn to adapt to change and make decisions that are beneficial for you, the people close to you and the infinite universe radiating all around you.
Your Turn
Do you know how to live? If so, tell us how. We are dying :) to know.
